Local organisations, community groups and charities now have the opportunity to hire low-cost event equipment, thanks to one Peasedown St John project.

The village’s Party in the Park Festival has built up an array of equipment that sits in storage throughout the year, and it only used on the day of its summer extravaganza each June!

Festival Chairman, Nathan Hartley said: “To cater for the needs of 2,500 people each summer, and to meet the requirements expected of us by the local police and Bath and North East Somerset Council, we’ve had to make sure we have a certain number of signs, chairs and a skittle-alley big enough for even the most competitive adults to use!

“When we’re not entertaining a packed-crowd at Party in the Park our equipment is kept in storage for the other 364 days of the year.”

To hire at a low cost, Party in the Park has:

  • A large skittle alley (in four parts [4ft x 8ft each]) with nine skittles and 3 balls
  • 100 x green folding chairs
  • Over 40 signs, such as Road Closed, No Event Parking, Slow Down and Lost Children

For further details, terms and conditions, and to enquire about hiring equipment email Nathan Hartley on nathan.hartley@peasedownpartyinthepark.org.uk

Where possible, seven days’ notice should be given prior to the date of wanting to hire Party in the Park equipment, and use is always subject to the availability of members of the festival team.

Hirers will need to provide transport to move the equipment. For more details visit www.peasedownpartyinthepark.org.uk
