Organisers of Peasedown St John’s summer festival, Party in the Park, are looking for a new Entertainment Manager.

Following a two year break due to the coronavirus pandemic, organisers have now started to plan ahead to next year’s village spectacular.

Festival Chairman, Nathan Hartley, said:

“We’ll be announcing more plans for next year’s event over the coming months. In the meantime, we’re looking for a special person to join our team!

The entertainment for the day – seven hours of live performances – is a crucial part of the Party in the Park festival and we’re looking for someone to coordinate it for us.

Since the very first festival in 2009, the entertainment has been a key factor in ensuring the 2,500 people that attend are happy, engaged and go home feeling like they’ve had a good day out!”

The Party in the Park Entertainment role is a voluntary position. Their key task is to recruit and sign-up bands and performers for the one-day festival in Peasedown St John each summer.

Helen Thorn, the festival’s secretary, added: “Party in the Park is the biggest event in the local calendar. It’s a good opportunity for families and friends to get together to enjoy live music, take part in activities and have a fun day out. Over the last decade, the event has done a lot to put the village on the cultural map, build community spirit and bring pride to the people that live here.”

The Party in the Park Entertainment Manager’s role is ideal for anyone who is passionate about live music and supporting local talent.
