Peasedown extravaganza wins big backing from local housing provider
Tuesday 26th March 2019 Leave your thoughtsBath and North East Somerset’s biggest provider of social housing has come on board as a major sponsor of Peasedown St John’s summer festival.
Curo, who manage 13,000 properties across the South West of England, wanted to show their support for the village’s Party in the Park by signing up to become one of its Golden Sponsors.
Chief Executive, Victor da Cunha, said:
“At Curo, we believe that successful communities are happy, safe and popular places not only because of access to affordable, good quality housing, but equally because people care about their neighbourhood and look out for one another.
“With several hundred homes in the Peasedown area, we are delighted to continue to play our part in supporting the local community in organising such a successful, fun way of bringing people together. We wish everyone attending a fantastic day.”
Party in the Park 2019 officially starts at 12noon on Saturday 8th June on Beacon Field – with festivities running until 7pm.
Attractions include – Emshira Passion for Cakes; Disney Pops Delight; Juicey Orange Coffee Shop; My Sweets and Treats; Gin Bar; Burger Bar and Donuts; The Drinks Deli; Just Love Nibbles; Red Post Inn Beer Tent; South West Wildlife Fundraising Ltd; Hair Braids and Facepainting; Plants; Flamingo Paperie; Marlowes Makes Sand Art; Dragonfly Jewellery; Dragon Rollercoaster Ride and a classic Bedford RL 1957 Fire Engine.
Party in the Park Co-Founder, Nathan Hartley, added:
“Curo’s support means we can put on a festival this summer that will be one to remember!
“We rely heavily on the support of our sponsors to ensure we can cover all of our costs. The finances we need to pay for insurance, equipment and to advertise aren’t cheap, so we’re extremely grateful to Curo. Without them, we would struggle to host this year’s party.”
The event features the ‘Party in the Park Grant Giveaway’, 7 hours of live music and entertainment – stage managed by Reaper Events, the Sara Holley Community Award, a Dog Show, and Peasedown’s 3rd Annual Official Push Kart Race.
