Tuesday 9th January 2018 Leave your thoughtsSome of the most popular and successful entertainment acts in the region will be performing at this year’s 15th anniversary Party in the Park festival in Peasedown St John on Saturday 8th June.
Party in the Park has teamed up with Radio Bath and Reaper Events for the event. Radio Bath has organised the line up of performances, and Reaper Events are providing the staging, lighting and sound equipment on the day.

It’s great to see public events like this happening across Bath & North East Somerset, they are great for bringing family and friends together.”
The festival is expected to see almost 3,000 people come through its gates on June 8th – in part to celebrate the event’s 15th anniversary!
Performing at this year’s festival are:
12.15pm: Leon Daye Band
The Leon Daye Band have blended Rock, Indie and Blues into their upbeat original material, filled with catchy guitar hooks and soaring melodies.
The Cirencester band was formed in 2018 by local singer/songwriter Leon Daye.
The band have an energetic sound, drawing from multiple influences from band members and echo bands such as R.E.M Feeder and The Manic Street Preachers.
1.15pm: Original Barn Finds
Hailing from the heart of rural Somerset, the Original Barn Finds were conceived in 2017 when cousins Chris and Rich Brown finally joined musical forces after years of procrastination, alongside life-long friends Trev Fox and Nick Pratt.
After a few open mic performances another old friend, Troy ‘the bass player’ Wells, joined to complete the line-up that has become much beloved by discerning punters at small local festivals and vintage car shows in the Somerset area.
Their mission is to bring joy to the masses through the medium of classic covers in a Folk/Americana/Bluegrass style.
2.15pm: Trash Casino
The band initially came together in 2013 when members of ‘Havoc’ joined with ‘Anno Domini’ drummer Neil Rogers. After a break in 2016 and 2017 the band added singer Ian Rogers, also formerly with ‘Anno Domini’ in 2018 and keyboard player Rich Denning (Havoc) in 2020. For their gigs, Trash Casino look to play a blend of well-known Rock classics alongside a number songs by less obvious artists, playing them in their own unique style that always provides a bit of fun and energy.
Trash Casino are currently working on their first originals album.
3pm: Peasedown St John Primary School Children
Children from the local primary school will perform a number of songs – they have been practising for weeks so we’re looking forward to having them with us.
3.15pm: 4 Undercover
A new Bath-based band covering all your old favourites, this is the first time they’ve performed at Party in the Park, so we’re looking forward to having them with us. They’re guaranteed to get the packed-out festival crowd on their feet!
4.15pm: The Cult of the Velvet Rattlesnake
Get ready to sweat, ‘cause the Cult of the Velvet Rattlesnake are ready to blow your minds with their brand of jaw-dropping electric blues. They take iconic pop songs and strip them bare before drenching them in the filthiest, swampiest blues you’ll ever hear. When the Rattlesnakes take to the stage, they bring a dynamic twist of raw emotion and sultry sounds. They’ll stir your soul in ways you never thought possible!
5.15pm: The Lone Sharks
The Lone Sharks, South West’s pop-punk kings, have been mixing energy and intelligent melodies since 2007. Their grown-up rock for all ages has garnered a reputation for tight, sharp and powerful live performances playing gigs across the country with bands including: The Godfathers; Channel 3; Agent Orange; The Cute Lepers; The Lurkers; Penetration; 999; UK Subs; The Vibrators and Thee Faction.
6.15pm: Revelation Z Band
RevelationZ band members hail from Bristol, Wales and Jamaica. They are a multi-genre band, which perform classics from Motown, disco, soul, reggae, and ska.
Although new to the music scene as a band, their members have decades of experience as individuals, performing all over the UK, Europe and internationally.
The ethos of RevelationZ is to have fun, and help their audience have fun; with an aim to get you singing along, dancing and enjoying yourself.
Peasedown Party in the Park officially starts at 11.30am on Saturday 8th June on Beacon Field – with festivities running until 7pm.
The event features 7 and a half hours of live music and entertainment – with Radio Bath and Reaper Events, a Dog Show, The Somer Valley Farm Beer Tent and a huge range of stalls and attractions.

Lille Røde, Danish for Little Red, has been featured on BBC Introducing in the West delivering her sassy indie pop. Sounding kinda like St Vincent meets Tori Amos, this is the creation of Welsh singer/songwriter and former actress Anna Mountford. Starring in Lloyd Webber’s Starlight Express in her teens and going on to become a regular fixture on British TV in shows like Holby City and Jack of Hearts, Mountford began writing songs in 2010 following a career move to LA. The songs were a way to voice her reaction to living and working in Hollywood and an attempt to retain her sanity. Upon her return to the UK in 2015 her track Meteorite was included in a Glastonbury Emerging Talent Competition playlist. Mountford is now an acting coach and mentor working with young actors from the local area.

They are a Bath-based Folk Pop band that write and play original songs. Their inspiration is an eclectic mix of music from the past and the present. Tracks including Wonder Woman and Holding Out for a Miracle show this inspiration. The band consists of Sam on vocals, Steve on piano, Luke on guitar and Graham making the tea!
They are a Bath-based, UK travelling, Blues & Soul trio! With bluesy guitar riffs, soulful vocals, jazz piano and funky bass lines. Broadly exploring the entirety of the Rock ‘n’ Roll spectrum. Playing all over the country in various locations and enjoying every minute doing what they love most and being to the love of music and entertainment.

Late Notice are a teen led indie band from Bath. They met at college doing the same course and immediately clicked. Influenced by the more heavy indie bands such as Arctic Monkeys and Royal Blood, they have taken inspiration from bands such as Rage Against the Machine. They absolutely love performing together and can’t wait to perform live at Party in the Park. They have recently released their first single called “Tell Me”, which is now available to the public.
Skimpy started out as a drummer in a steel reggae band when he was just 14 years old, and then quickly moved on to be a lead vocalist. He has been a front man in a variety of bands such as funk, soul, and blues. He’s worked in pubs, clubs and theatres for over 18 years whilst writing my own material. He’s a new solo artist and will be performing live at Peasedown Party in the Park.
