Your Views Matter: Peasedown festival organisers ask for your feedback
Friday 19th July 2024 Leave your thoughtsOver 2,500 people packed out this year’s Peasedown’s Party in the Park summer festival in June – making it one of the most successful to date!
Sponsored by St John’s Church, Curo, Radfield Homecare, Bath Audi, and B&NES Council, festival revellers came along to enjoy over seven hours of live music and entertainment.
The event included an array of stalls and attractions, a dog show, hot food, and the return of the Peasedown Diamond cider.
As part of the early planning process for next year’s festival, the organisers are keen to gauge residents’ views and feedback on this year’s festival and how they thought it went.
Local councillors Gavin Heathcote and Karen Walker (Peasedown St John, Independents), who manage and put on the event for the community, said:
“Thank you to everyone who came along to support this year’s Party in the Park festival. It’s been fantastic to see the event grow over the last 15 years. From a humble village fete to a festival with 2,500 people – we couldn’t have done it without the support of the local community.
We’re always keen to receive people’s feedback though. If you attended the festival, we’d love to know what you think went well, and what could be improved for next year. Is there something you’d like to see more, or less of?
Please get in touch with your feedback.”
Main stage performances this year included: The Original Barn Finds; Peasedown St John Primary School Choir; Trash Casino; 4 Undercover, The Lone Sharks, Cult of the Velvet Rattlesnake, The RevelationZ Band and the Leon Daye Band.
The stage and entertainment line-up was organised and managed by Reaper Events and Radio Bath.
The Peasedown St John Community Civic Award, awarded to a villager each year who has gone ‘above and beyond’ to serve the community, was jointly won by local PCSOs Louise Jones and Tony McKintosh who have spent the last 15 years fighting crime and helping to make our streets safer.
